Tally-Ho Hunting Safaris - newsletter December 2018

Hi all

Tally-Ho is finally getting a bit of rain, summer is here and temperatures are soaring. Currently 37 °C is the norm at Tallyho. Impala, wildebeest, zebra, blesbuck and warthogs should start dropping their lambs soon.

With the change in the vegetation in the bushveld comes hope ... hope for the new borns to survive, hope that the predators have enough food, hope from most animals that they can survive another year in this harsh environment ... hope from the operators that we get enough rain so as to provide enough food for all the animals on Tally-Ho.

I know most of our visitors at Tally-Ho don't believe there are many predators here so I attached a few pics of the damage done by cheetah, caracal and leopard... Believe me there are a lot of them

So 2018 was a great year for the Hunting at Tally-Ho, we hosted 55 international hunters (new record) and 62 local clients. And these from as far afield as Lithuania, Sweden, Poland, Venezuela, Mexico, USA, Canada, Germany, Italy and South Africa. Wow now that I write that down its quite impressive.

Thank you to all my staff for their continued support and diligence in providing what I believe to be a great experience for all visitors, from 4-year-old kids to 70-year-old gentlemen.

We look forward to continuing the traditions and providing the great experiences and memories at our lovely little piece of Africa.

I have made contact with some good outfitters in Zimbabwe for good elephant and leopard hunts, please contact me for the prices.

I have also sourced a good outfitter for Vaal Rhebok, mountain reedbuck, common reedbuck and will gladly send them to you if needed, please let me know if you are interested.

Recently I went to visit some old clients and friends in Poland and to source some new clients and obviously while I was there I squeezed in a bit of hunting. It is always good to hunt in foreign countries as I feel it gives you a good sense of their culture and beliefs around hunting and thus gives me more knowledge on how to make their time in Africa more enjoyable for them.

I attached a few pics of my hunting from Poland and Austria.

Thank you to my friends from Poland that made my time hunting with them really great and memorable!!!

Our new prices for 2019 are uploaded to our website. (click to go to website)

Once again I must thank my Loyal clients for their continued support, they come and visit year after year and seem never to tire of the "bullshit" spoken around the fire late at night.

So with the festive season in full swing and Christmas around the corner I wish you all happy holidays and a merry Christmas. Enjoy the break and look forward to seeing you in 2019.

Darzbur, Weidmannsheil, Hoit Jakt, and good hunting
