Good day to all my clients, friends and hunters So the hunting season is done and dusted and all the bits and pieces finished up. Some early rains which fell in October were a welcome treat. Summer is officially here. Now we look ahead to next season. How do we make it better than the last. With difficulty if you look at the great clients we hosted and the excellent trophies we took in 2017, but, With a bit of planning and some improvements over the summer I am sure we can make it even better than the last season. We are already hard at work with maintenance of roads, fences and water holes and pipes. We have had to Replace some water pumps to ensure a good supply of fresh clean water for the wildlife. The building of some new hides in strategic positions will surely add value in 2018. Rudi has been hard at work servicing vehicles and equipment and keeping everything in good running order for next season. Who wants a breakdown while hunting??? Nobody!!! I am personally looking forward to return to the "new" areas we used for bushbuck and crocodiles this year. We had good success and it is really a beautiful little piece of Africa. The leaves are out and green and the grass is returning and the animals condition has picked up since the first rain fell. It still amazes me how dramatically the landscape changes after some rain falls. Soon we will be blessed with lots of little wildebeest and impala calves running around and the promise of life which comes with the summer. 2017 was a year where we harvested the best trophies ever on Tallyho for certain species (kudu, blue wildebeest, buffalo, roan) and we plan to do that again in 2018 on some other species Thank you to all our clients from 2017 for your support and we are looking forward to meeting all the new and repeat clients in 2018. |
